Here's a problem I picked up at a recent conference:

In rugby, there are two goal posts, G1 and G2.

|

There's a kicker at point P, somewhere on line L,
which is perpendicular to the line through G1
and G2. Where should P be to maximize the angle
G1PG2 (in other words, the best scoring position)?
