Old method to construct a pentagon with given side (side lengths):
Construct a square with sides equal to the desired pentagon sides and
circumscribe circle with centre M.
On the square construct regular hexagon with base common to square and
circumscribe circle with centre N. Bisect MN to give point O. Circle
with centre O and square (or hexagon) base as cord (chord? Afr:
koord) circumscribes regular pentagon.
