I teach at a ms in Mich. I would love to hear more about the "nuts and bolts" of what you are doing. We now have a team of four teachers and the sci teacher and I teach normal 50 min periods the other two teach a "block" of sorts two periods with both lang and social studies being taught. I don't think this is a real "block" but they do so it just happens but it forces the kids to change in herds which I don't like.
We have no built in passing time as the kids only go one or two rooms down the hall. This allows for a 20 min "E-hour" each day that we use for all kind of things - it may be enrichmement or support or what ever-- that part is good.
like to know more as most blocks I have seen are at a HS level.
Have a happy -- I hope Santa brought it all
