In MacTutor an article on Babylonian Mathematics states that the Babylonians
used the following algorithm for multiplying two numbers a,b:
ab = [(a+b)^2 - (a-b)^2]/4
All that is necessary is a good size table of squares and knowledge of how to
multiply by 0;15.
Peaceful New Year
