My name is Peter Varvaressos and I am about to undertake my Honours in
Primary Education at the University of technology Sydney, Kuring-gai
Campus. I was hoping that you could email me any research you have on
primary students attitudes towards Maths and in particular, their
attitudes toward the teaching method their teacher implements in a
lesson.

My thesis will probably (at this point in time) be focused on:

"Why is Maths such a feared/hated subject by children in schools?"

It is still only in its infancy but I hope to develop an approach to
teaching Maths that will be conducive to learning, and to promote a
positive/joyful feeling toward the subject for the students (such as
in Drama or Art). I hope to focus on the many ways how children learn,
and if we can implement these different methods of learning into
regular maths classes.

If you are interested I could keep you up to date with my progression
in the subject, I could email you all of my research.

Any help would be deeply appreciated
