The math-learn mailing list currently has 68 members - not too bad for a
list only 3 days old. As near as I can figure out, we have members from
five countries - Australia, US, Egypt (is .ae the domain for Egypt?),
England, Canada. Have I missed any? It would be wonderful to have maths
teachers from all corners of the globe participating in and learning from
discussions about how to best teach mathematics.

To be useful, a list needs members. Can you please spread the word, e.g.
via other mailing lists, and encourage others to join? All they have to do
is send an email to
and reply to the email they receive back.

The discussions on the list so far have been directed towards the higher end
of the maths ed continuum - e.g. matrices. Discussions about primary and
middle school maths are equally welcome. Maybe even more so, as I have
found few mailing lists re the teaching of mathematics at this level.

Finally, emails posted to this list are archived at
so, if needed, you can access previous posts from there.
