Hi Listers,

I was glad to see in the AMATYC newsletter that the mathedcc list was
set up at a new address. I tried to send messages previously but they
bounced back.

I would like to invite members to visit my web site, which contains
lots of materials on cooperative learning and writing across the
curriculum, in the form of two e-books, discussions about teaching and
learning, articles I have written and other areas of interest. I have
also been putting together a list of internet sites related to teaching
in general which has a substantial number of math sites. The address

I would also like to highlight a specific article I wrote on using
cooperative learning extensively in math classes. I had hoped to get
this article published in the AMATYC Journal but after two years of
editing the manuscript the editors finally decided not to publish it. I
guess they are mainly interested in research oriented articles from
colleges and universities versus articles on pedagogy from community
college profs. Grump! Grump! I hope you will enjoy reading the article
through the list.

The latest title and version is: "Using Cooperative Learning 100%
Of the Time In Mathematics Classes Establishes A Student-centered,
Interactive Learning Environment"
