There is a collection of short stories about mathematicians editted
by Rudy Rucker:
"Mathenauts" Tales of Mathematical Wonder

And there is a cute short story that includes a battle between two
"magicians" who practice "calculus" at each other in the book:
"Chicks in Chainmail" editted by Esther Friesner
The story is "Career Day" by Margaret Ball

---
lastly:
Isn't the purpose of this list to _learn_ about the history of
Mathematics?
Doesn't that make us _all_ students?
