What areas of pre-K-12 mathematics need emphasis in Standards 2000?
========
The writers are developing Standards that apply across grades
pre-K-12. Each Standard will include a description of key ideas, along
with the developmental "trajectory" the ideas should take across the
grades, given our current knowledge of students’ learning. What are
some of the key areas that should be emphasized? For example, could
"number" be a major area that runs preK through 12, in light of the
fact that there is no number topic in the current Standards for grades
9-12? Are there any other major areas that you can think of and would
like to include?
