I spoke with my neighbor last night after reading the posts on Trig. He is
a civil engineer and is in the road construction business here in MT.

I asked him if he ever uses Trig. His response: " I use it everyday!" Now if
he uses it everyday I am sure his employees feel it is an important subject.

Trig lives on!!!

Trig is a beautiful model of Pierce's definition of mathematics.
"The science of drawing necessary conclusions."
