Need web sites

I am asking for some help finding web sites - call me lazy or
call me efficient <G>

I was asked to give a workshop on using the internet as a
resource during the opening week of school. (Talk about
misplaced prepositional phrases! I guess I need to visit an
English grammar site.) Anyway I am trying to design this
session for people who would rather have a root canal than
touch a computer. For this reason I want to be able to give
some very specific instructions because the
I-hate-computers-and-I-won't-use-them club is not filled with
people who like to see what happens if you punch THAT button!
If any of you can lead me to some good web sites for various
disciplines (like English, French, Art, Cooking - you know,
normal high school subjects) I would be very grateful. I am
looking for sites similar in quality to the math forum web
site. I would also be interested in mail-list recommendations.

The workshop is for high school teachers and our school has a
very diverse student body. We offer all the normal stuff.

Thanks in advance!
