Canadian curriculum is handled at the provincial level. Ontario curriculum
is undergoing profound reform at the moment. The New Ontario Curricula for
Language and Mathematics, 1997, were released last June, and are supposed
to be fully implemented this school year, but in reality not all boards are
responding with equal dispatch.

The previous provincial government spent years and millions on its Common
Curriculum, 1995, and that is still in use in most schools (indeed, full
implementation has only just been realized in most places)
