As I have opened up a subject thathas caused much more controversy over wether or not a storry in a single classroom has validity in the educational research field, I would like to put my $0.02 worth in now after the storm. I visited a teacher in Breckenridge, MN in the same class that helped stirr this subject up. In this classroom the teacher, who has been teaching for almost 25 years, solidified my beliefs in this subject. When I asked him the same question posed to this forum, he simply responed, "The calculator-computer is here to stay. After having learned how to do the basic operation, the calculator-computer should be used all the time." It helps with higher level thinking skills and can be so helpful when solving real-life problems. sed Thank you for all of your responses to this question. much Dave Leommore controversy
