I teach in a high school of about 1500. We discussed block scheduling but
went to a trimester system. Extended periods to 64 minutes. Meet each
day. Teach 4 classes a day with a prep. This gets teachers to teach the
same amount of classes as a 7 periods day for the year.
I was not interested when it began but it has worked out well.
