This year I am enrolled in the Math Leadership Programme at York University,
Toronto. It is a pilot teacher education project run in cooperation with the
North York School Board. I can send further information about it to
interested parties upon request.

One of the requirements of the course is the keeping of personal reflections
on the practicum portion of the course. I intend to cultivate the potential
of the internet by keeping this part of my portfolio on my WWW home page and
making the site interactive. I hope thereby to benefit from the input of a
much larger teaching community.

I am hereby inviting the members of this list to participate by checking in
from time to time, reading if you're so inclined, responding if you have a
moment. I will be doing my practicum in a grade 6 classroom and am most
interested in the interaction with teachers and pre-service teachers in the
middle-school grades, but suspect that if things heat up to the degree my
highest hopes envision, even the "University types" might have a thing or two
to say.

The Reflections Page is not up as of this invitation, but my Math & Science
page may be of interest to some as a source of links. Suggestions also
welcome!

Thank you,

Richard
