The NCTM meeting in San Diego is April 25-28.
A regional conference will be held in Grand Rapids, Michigan starting on
October 5th. The National Council of Supervisors of Mathematics (designed
for Leaders in Mathematics Education) will be sponsoring a leadership
workshop and breakfast. The speaker will be Randy Charles (professor of
mathematics and computer science at San Jose State University in California
and the second VP of NCSM.) It will be from 8:00 to 10:30 in the Ambassador
W Room. The title of Randy's session is "Are you living with dinosaurs?
Challenges to reform in mathematics." The cost is $9 for NCSM members and
$10 for nonmembers. If you are interested in joining us, send me email with
your name and address and I will send you the registration form.
