I don't get it - how do you people get through life without doing fractions? They should be an integral part of the curriculum throughout a students career beginning shortly after the introduction to division. Student use of calculators to replace ability to do fractions is the type of calculator abuse I've been talking about. It does a real disservice to our youth.
