<No, I don't really think so. At our school we're using something called Tech Prep from CORD in Texas. I think it's good stuff, very hands on, lots of labs (as they call them). And it synchs very well with Perkins Grant stuff (vocational training).>
Dan  we field tested the applied math stuff from CORD last year and on the whole we were very disappointed with it. The activities were fun, but we didn't think the mathematics taught was very significant. Many times the students went through rather involved activities (recipestyle) for very little math payoff. The time involved did not seem worth the amount of mathematical thinking that took place. I'd be interested in others experiences with CO"RD.
