I haven't read my mail for a while, so this is a late response to
Eileen'
s wonderful description of the difference between "lecture" and
"teaching by telling.
" Of course, I'm referring to LISTENING carefully to students and then
showing them how to write their thoughts mathematically. Doesn't really
sound like a lecture at all, as she pointed out so well. Makes me feel
kind of good! :-) Cindy
