Dear Karen, at present I an an associate professor of mathematics
at Incarnate Word College, San Antonio, Texas.

I concur with several previous writers: Forums are no place for interchanges
that are mostly personal and of little interest (I would assume) to most
participants...ESPECIALLY when they disintegrate into ad hominem statements,
sarcasm, and insubstantial arguments. Now, I'm not advocating censorship, but
merely requesting that such trifle be sent in private mail or reconsidered and
not sent at all. If this isn't done, I'll simply unsubscribe, of course, but
it would be a shame to miss many of the meaningful and gracious comments of the
