Hello again,

I asked for an end to the vacuous, personal, attacks that were destroying any
pleasure in this forum. The last few postings, with the same defensive,
overstated, noxious attacks (e.g., Kent's "educational reasearch [sic]
is just a lot of mental masturbation") have meant that I MUST unsubscribe,
which I shall do, just because remaining ON this forum is implicit support FOR
the forum and too much of the forum is an embarrassment to the mathematics
education community.

I encourage others to:

1. Unsubscribe as well, to establish your distance from, and your
disapproval of, such unprofessional behavior.

2. Work to establish a NEW, similar forum if you like that will speak
to issues, working TOGETHER to build better mathematics education.

I'll not receive forum mail, but would appreciate a contact if such a
new forum is created. If not, I'm better off trying to do what I can do
as an individual, than providing silent approval for negative interactions.
