Assigning problems due in two days is great, but that implies that
students will work on them both days.

My students (I teach er, TAUGHT in a Catholic High School for girls) would
probably not even look at them until the second day, and give up rather
quickly if they couldn't get anywhere with the problem.

I guess my question is how you can combat this type of laziness??

(My first post and I didn't even introduce myself... I teach, er TAUGHT in
Catonsville, MD. Mostly Algebra I students.)
