Carol Ann Stevens' comment is quite interesting. I got my feet wet working
in K-12 as a math grad student in a program very closely related to Project
SEED, which does recommend the use of scripts. I nver used them, but many
people in the project did find them useful in sketching out what to do.
The alumni from that generation include many of the mathematicians most
active in reform, including one of the co-directors of the Interactive
Mathematics Project, which is about as far from behaviorism as one can get.
Also, scripts are used in MGMP, and are semi-implicit in some of Marilyn
Burns' work.

Anyone care to comment on scripts?
