DESIGN ADVISOR/NEURAL ANALYZER
==============================

The Design Advisor/Neural Analyzer [DANA] is an experimental design
advisor and neural network analysis system for understanding and
optimizing physical and chemical processes. The Design Advisor
suggests what experiments should be performed to map the input
variables to the process output responses. Both a classical design
("central composite") and one specifically developed for this
application ("star plus simplex") are supported. The Neural
Analyzer uses a single-hidden-layer back propagation neural network
to model the data obtained at the designed experimental points.

DANA also has the ability to produce and analyze a neural network
model for historical, non-designed data.

DANA is an easy-to-use, interactive program running on IBM PC and
PC-compatible computers with an 80386 microprocessor (or later) and
a math co-processor. It includes useful diagnostic graphics and a
unique "Virtual Process" for interactive modeling.

DANA was developed by DuPont's Neural Network Resource Center. It
has been licensed for commercial sale by NeuralWare, Inc. of
Pittsburgh. The list price is about $1000. For more information,
