Hi all,

I'm new to this group. I've just looked for the FAQ unsucessfully, so I'm sorry
if this question is addressed in it.

I have a set of data (images), which can be clustered in various ways. I wish to
compare the results of various clustering techniques when applied to the same set
of data - i.e. given two different clusterings of the same data, I want a number
which is a measure of the similarity of the clusterings.

I imagine that this problem has been addressed before. I would be most grateful
if someone could point me in the right direction, or suggest which literature
I should consult.

Thanks,

David
