Can anyone out there help me with this relatively simple question
regarding fsolve in maple?
I have 3 equations, call them e1, e2, e3
These are in three unknowns x, y, and z
When I give fsolve ({e1, e2, e3}, {x, y, z}) I get the following message
error in fsolve/genroot undetermined system of equations.
However when I give fsolve ({e1, e2, e3}, {x, y, z}, {x=1..3, y=1..3,
z=1..3}) then it gives me a solution.

What does undetermined mean? What is going on?
