To all Maple V R4 for OS/2 users,

Many of you have reported a memory leak that occurs during operations
such as screen refreshes, scrolling in worksheets, and simple typing.
In many cases, this leak was significant, and could halt the application.

We have determined that this problem does not occur for those running
the intial release of Warp 3.0. However, it does occur for those
running Warp 3.0 with fixpack 17 or above, and for those running Warp 4.0.

We have a solution to this problem.

Simply download the file mwin.dll from our ftp site or our web site.

The ftp site is ftp.maplesoft.com and the location is
/pub/maple/patches/MapleVR4/os2dll/
(use anonymous as the user id and your email address as the password)

The web address is
http://www.maplesoft.com/technical/documents/technical.html

This updated file replaces the mwin.dll which currently resides in the
bin.os2 subdirectory of your Maple installation.

If you have any questions, please direct them to support@maplesoft.com.
