i had a problem in macsyma doing the following and wondered if anyone
had any ideas about it.

i solved the following ode using ode
diff(y,x)=-y+sin(x*x)
and got a long involved expression involving the complex error function.
i set the initial condition y=0 when x=0 using ic1.
i then tried to plot by selecting the expression and pasting it into
plot(<pasted expression>, x, 0, 2*%pi)
when i hit return, i got the error: error in generic function.
this is using windows.
first: does anybody have any ideas about how to graph this?
second: can i simplify this to remove the complex error function?
thanks,
dan stanger
