HI, I have the following problem:
I have set of discreete data at time steps t, t+dt,.... t+ndt as x(t), x(t+dt),.... x(t+ndt). Now from this data I would like to find those times ti's at which x(ti) goes to zero as accurately as possible. I mean the times ti's as accurately as possible. note the data is random and sinusodal behaviour is observed.
I can locate these times ti's by intepolating between two points which are next to each other (i.e, one +ve one -ve) but that might not be the exact time at which x(ti) = 0. Is there any numerical technique to do this in any other possible way.
Thanks in advance. Raj
