Colleagues:

1. If you care to read the California K-12 Mathematics Standards, you can
do so at:

http://www.cde.ca.gov/board/intro.html

If you want to print them, just click on print and it will produce 29
pages.

2. There is a website for the Ninth International Congress on Mathematics
Education
(ICME-9) that will be held in Makuhari, Japan (near Tokyo): Monday,
July 31 --
Sunday, August 6 in the year 2000.

http://www.ma.kagu.sut.ac.jp/~icme-9/index.html

There is not a lot of information on the site yet, that is directly
related to the
Congress program and registration information, but the First
Announcement
will be ready by the end of this month.

All good wishes.

Jerry
