Ninth International Congress on Mathematics Education / ICME-9 / Japan

At ICME-9 in Tokyo/Makuhari, Japan, in the year 2000:


"Social and political dimensions of mathematics education"

The International Program Committee (IPC) for ICME-9 has called
two women to be co-chairs for this WGA # 12: Gelsa Knijnik (Brazil) and
Christine Keitel (Germany). This is a call for people who are interested to
join this group and to cooperatively work on the themes with us prior to,
during and after the congress.

We would very much appreciate that all colleagues who are concerned with
social and political dimensions of mathematics education think about
to the sessions of this WGA 12, and are cordially invited to approach us. The
