For your information ... following a few inquiries.

Teacher, student and school questionnaires are online at the Boston College
website: http://wwwcsteep.bc.edu/TIMSS1/Database.html

Click on User Guide. Scroll down to the Supplements.

Please note that there is no teacher questionnaire for Population 3 (end of
Secondary School).

For Population 2 (grades 7/8), the end of the teacher questionnaires
contains two very interesting
sections: Opportunity to Learn and Pedagogical Approach.

Other information ...

You can find out about TIMSS-R (Repeat) by going to

http://wwwcsteep.bc.edu/TIMSS1/AboutTIMSS.html

Another good website is

http://nces.ed.gov/timss/

All good wishes.

Jerry

*******************
From a colleague on the internet ...

The nation and its teachers and students will benefit best if we stop
praising past practice and look to the need to reform educational practice
in order to
prepare the next generation for the kind of responsibilities it will face
in the real
world of work.
