Was I the only one who thought there are four operations - addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division? After trying the problem, I knew what had to work, but went to Dr. Math to see how "operations" was defined. I learned something, but it's the first time I've seen 6 operations defined. It was a good lesson for my students, because it gave them a reason to check out the Dr.Math resources. We had just finished order of operations, so this was a great problem for them to work on.
