You may have noticed that this week's Elementary Problem of the Week,
"Puzzling Puzzle Pieces," uses the phrase "more pleasing rectangle."

No, this is not just a personal preference of mine! It's actually
based on the Golden Rectangle. To find out more about Golden
Rectangles, the Golden Mean/Ratio, and the Fibonacci Sequence, please
visit the following URL:

http://mathforum.com/dr.math/faq/faq.golden.ratio.html

I especially like the information in the additional link, The
Fibonacci Sequence, Golden Ratio, and Golden Rectangle in industry

http://mathforum.com/dr.math/problems/fibonacci_cards.html

There a so many ways to tie this topic into a cross curricular unit,
I'd be curious to hear if/how some of you do so.

Happy problem solving!
