Hello - I just wanted to make users of the Trig/Calculus Problem of the Week aware of a new resource that you may be able to use in conjunction with your curriculum. It is called the Journal of Online Mathematics and its Applications (JOMA). It can be found at http://www.joma.org/. Below is some information about it: With start-up funding from the National Science Foundation (NSF) and hosted by the Math Forum, JOMA will publish: - innovative, class-tested, web-based learning materials - articles on design and use of online materials - original research articles on student learning via online materials and other technology-rich environments - surveys of existing online materials - high-quality "mathlets" (self-contained, dynamic, single-purpose learning tools) - other articles on related subjects, with particular emphasis on applications
I would say this is definitely worth looking into as a resource. If you find ways to incorporate any of the "mathlets" in conjunction with a particular PoW, please let us know. We would love to hear from you.
