Hi Teachers
As the current school year begins to wind down, it is a good time to reflect on your use of the PoWs in your classroom. You should begin to think about successes, failures, and things you might do differently next year.
All year we have been asking you to share your thoughts and ideas with others on this list. We encourage you to continue to so.
I'd also like you to think about sharing your unique PoW uses with colleagues by presenting at a local, regional, or national NCTM conference.
More information about these meetings can be found on the web at: http://nctm.org/meetings/ Some of the speaker proposal deadlines are fast approaching. If you would like to present at the NCTM national to be held in Las Vegas in April 2002, you will need to submit a proposal by March 15, 2001. For the regional meetings the dates are as follows:
15 April, 2001 Montreal Quebec
1 June, 2001 Biloxi, Mississippi Paducah, Kentucky
15 June, 2001 Regina, Saskatchewan
15 July, 2001 Boston, Massachusetts
15 September, 2001 Indianapolis, Indiana You can find more information and presenter forms on the NCTM web site.
If I can help you in any way to plan a presentation, please contact me. <judyann@mathforum.com>
