Hello Pre-Algebra PoW Friends,

The Math Forum has a mentor group from California State University at
Chico that is working with students in the next Pre-Algebra Problem of
the Week. It will go live on Oct 25, and will be available for preview
next Thursday (we'll post a reminder then).

We will accept submissions to this puzzle through November 7, 2004.
Your students may submit solutions by visiting the main PrealgPoW

If your students get replies from mentors, we hope that they'll have
an opportunity to revise their work based on the mentors' feedback.
This will be beneficial for your students and especially beneficial
(and exciting!) for the mentors.

The Pre-Algebra PoW that becomes available on Nov 22 will also have
mentor groups available.

We will be offering free mentoring whenever possible throughout the
year. Look for the * in the puzzle name on the calendar).
