Find the equations for the parabolas below by sliding, stretching,and/or squishing the basic parabola above. Remember that flipping is a negative stretch.



 

1. This is a parabola, but it's upside down.


 
2. So is this, but it's wider.

 
3. This parabola passes through (-3,2).

 
4. And this one passes through (-3, 8).

 
5. This one looks similar to the basic shape, but it's very big.

 
6. This one is very, very small.
