Levels of Difficulty: Other segments of our Problems of the Week Library assign a difficulty level to each of the problems, providing an idea of how involved a particular problem might be to students in a given grade band or subject. Problems in the Primary Library address content typically taught in Kindergarten and grades 1 and 2. So where you would see a "difficulty level" in the rest of the library, you will instead see a "grade" in the Primary library. The suggested grade levels are not meant to restrict their use. In fact, the range provides a tool for differentiation. Teachers can address the needs of a range of abilities by selecting problems that are more accessible or more challenging, as appropriate. |
