  1. The Data and Story Library (DASL)
"Dazzle," an online searchable library of datafiles and stories that illustrate the use of basic statistics methods, providing data from a wide variety of topics so that statistics teachers can find real-world examples that will be interesting to their students. Stories by topic (Archeology through Zoology); by method (ANCOVA through Two sample t-test); datafiles by subject (Agriculture through Weather). A form is available for submitting your story. more>>

  2. The Data Library - Pat Daley
Ongoing data-sharing projects, downloadable Excel spreadsheets, and other sources of data on the Web. Collaborative Projects - specific data collection projects that teachers and their students may become a part of; Data Sets that can be downloaded as spreadsheets and then sorted, manipulated, and graphed on your computer; Other sources of data - sites like The Bureau of Labor Statistics and The Chance Database that offer many more data sets in other formats. more>>

  3. Infonation - United Nations Publications
An easy-to-use, two-step database that allows you to view and compare the most up-to-date statistical data for the Member States of the United Nations. In the first menu, you can select up to seven countries; then proceed to the data menu where to select statistics and other data fields for Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, Oceania, and South America. Versions are available in Spanish and French. more>>

  4. Quantitative Environmental Learning Project (QELP) - Greg Langkamp and Joe Hull, Seattle Central Community College
Supported by the NSF, QELP provides resources to integrate math and environmental science in college classrooms. It features data sets (search by math or environment topic), a book of classroom exercises, and links to relevant Web sites. Each data set is annotated with background science and math information and may be downloaded in one of four common formats (RichText, Excel, Text, Minitab), or exported to WebStat. more>>

  5. Statistical Reference Datasets - Applied and Computational Math Division, NIST
A project designed to improve the accuracy of statistical software by providing reference datasets with certified computational results that enable the objective evaluation of statistical software. Dataset archives (Analysis of Variance, Linear Regression, Nonlinear Regression, and Univariate Summary Statistics); background information; related resources and links; FAQs. A project component of of NIST's Tools for Evaluating Mathematical and Statistical Software. more>>

  6. StatLib - Dept. of Statistics, Carnegie Mellon University (CMU)
A system for distributing statistical software, datasets, and information by electronic mail, FTP, gopher, and WWW. Quick summary of contents, longer annotations. more>>
