| Manipulate a Base 10 Block Applet developed by Jacobo Bulaevsky to explore whole decimal numbers with blocks. There are printable examples of pattern blocks, graph paper, rods, and color tiles, and activities designed to make connections between the use of manipulatives and the development of algorithms and including addition and subtraction (trading and regrouping), multiplication (distributive property and area models), division (scaffold method and area models), and a bit of algebra (distributive property and area models) from a geometric perspective. | |
