| This lab, based on the professional development series and workshops broadcast on the Annenberg/CPB Math and Science Project Channel, explores the properties of objects (angles, surfaces) and the consequences of how these objects are positioned (where their shadows fall, how people must move around them) - how geometry is about real things: how big they are, whether they fit, how to find them, what they look like in a mirror. Online activities are combined with background information and interactive polls or worksheets for use in classrooms, with links to related Web sites. | |
