| Hermine Smikle - Yale-New Haven Teachers Institute | |
| An enrichment unit in basic geometry and symmetry, including translation, tessellation and reflection, ideas on line designs and knot designs for teaching lines and line segments, and ideas for daisy designs to teach the use of a pair of compasses. The unit provides an introduction to African art and architecture including religion and society in traditional African society. It would make a good introduction to the study of African art and culture. | |
