|A search engine that searches only those web sites containing scientific content, such as university web sites and author homepages, as well as the ScienceDirect database of scientific information resources drawn from thousands of journals and books. Sources of mathematical information include ArXiv, Project Euclid, and the journals of the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM). The advanced and expert search interfaces offer searches of just articles or just scientist homepages. Refine or broaden searches in subject areas, including mathematics and many mathematics subcategories; find peer-reviewed articles and non-text files, such as PostScript documents. See also Scirus' collaboration with TEK as they build a low-connectivity search engine for use by people "at the far side of a bad telephone connection," or who otherwise have low bandwidth connections to the Internet, to maximize access to the scientific web in developing countries.|
