| Founded in 1812, The Academy of Natural Sciences of Philadelphia is the oldest science research institution in the Western Hemisphere and a world leader in the fields of natural science research, education and exhibition. This site contains on-line exhibits, as well as information about all aspects of the Academy: the Natural History Museum and Services, Library and Archives, Environmental Research, and Biodiversity & Evolution. Areas of research include databases in paleontology, ornithology, entomology, etc. Also hyperlinks to Web sites of Academy supporters, museums, and related sites. | |
