| A famday is a day on which the combined ages of family members add up to a whole number of years - in a sense, a family birthday, a reason for a celebration that contributes to strengthening family ties. Students can compute famdays for their families and find more details about the concept to deepen their understanding of how we deal with years, dates, time zones, etc. and to take home to their families useable results of what they learn. Includes a Java applet that, for a given set of birthdays, computes famdays. | |
