| Constructivism is a philosophy about learning which proposes that learners need to build their own understanding of new ideas. To introduce the pH factor to students in a constructivist way, the Miami Museum of Science adapted their "Seven Es" (Excite, Explore, Explain, Expand, Extend, Exchange, and Examine) from the Biological Science Curriculum Study's "Five Es" (Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate and Evaluate). The site includes the pH Factor lesson, as well as descriptions of both the "Five Es" and the "Seven Es." | |
