Learn how to design mathbags, make a fraction quilt set, and teach with algebra tiles. Activities include Folding Fractions, exploring systems of linear equations with Geometer's Sketchpad, and Deductive Euclidean Geometry, as well as two Java applets, Virtual Base 10 blocks and Virtual Algebra Tiles. Assorted unit plans and notes range from math using literature to calculus using Sketchpad. Also, information on transformational geometry, bitmap Dilbert comic strips about math, a PowerPoint presentation on Statistics in the News, materials developed or gathered for use in professional development workshops for elementary school teachers, and PDFs of Atlantic Canada Mathematics Curriculum Guides for each elementary and secondary level grade. Mathematics Education Software for courses gathers on one page downloadable PC (.exe) demos of LOGO, StarLOGO, GSP, Cabri, Heart of Mathematics, Tess, Poly, and GraphEq.
