AAMT: Australian Association of Mathematics Teachers

|A federation of affiliated associations representing all States and Territories within the Commonwealth of Australia, AAMT acts as a national network and council of mathematics educators. AAMT provides serial publications and a regular newsletter, resources and publications from across Australia and overseas through a mail order network, and conferences on current issues across all levels of Mathematics education. AAMT supports many student activities, including National Mathematics Week, Australian Mathematics Competition, National Mathematics Talent Quest, AAMT/ANU National Mathematics Summer School, and Australian and International Mathematical Olympiads. Projects include Indigenous Students Achieving Numeracy (ISAN), Maths in the Mall Day, Learning the Unlikely at Distance Delivered as an Information Technology Enterprise (LUDDITE), and Numeracy Benchmarks. Also features a site of the week and collections of links, including Teachers talking to teachers (newsgroups, mailing lists, and IRC chat).|
