|Forty lesson plans created by teachers from Florida, for grades 4-12 and requiring 1-2 days to complete, with fairly simple preparation. The lessons contain detailed explanations and directions and many lessons are interdisciplinary. NCTM standards are documented and some lessons use Internet sites or require practical use of math in real-life situations. Examples include: Busch Gardens; Miami's Metro Zoo; Florida Marlins; Seaquarium; Dolphin's Diet; Measurement Conversions; Bargain Lunch; Bar Graphs; Jazz Festival; math lessons for Weight; Problem Solving; Volume; Lesson Plan; Data Analysis; Sports League; Stamp Collecting; and Fractions; and surveys and statistics for basketball.|
